West Miami Dems is pleased to open its 2026 General Election Office!!!! All candidates and Dem-friendly alliances are welcome to stop by to refresh, coordinate materials, and stage events (subject to availability).  Office hours: 12-4 Monday thru Friday. 4-7 Wednesday & Thursday. Stop by between 9:30 and 10:30 am on Saturday or Sunday with a friend for a turf cut. We have more than 35 locations West of Red Road to cover in the next 2 weeks alone! WE NEED VOLUNTEERS TO COVER WALK-INS, WRITE POSTCARDS, TEXT MESSAGE, MAKE PHONE CALLS, STUFF ENVELOPES FOR SPECIAL MAILERS, AND COLLATE TURF PACKETS.  PLEASE SIGN UP ON THE EVENT BUTTON, AND WE WILL BE IN CONTACT WITH YOU TO ARRANGE YOUR SCHEDULE. Join Florida Democrats for our Statewide Action Nights, with phonebanks running each night from 5-9 PM. Florida Democrats are running ahead of the national environment. We've flipped 40 seats from red to blue since 2024, and we have a real opportunity to win up and down the ballot this November. But we have to put in the work -- and that's why we're so glad you're here. Together, we’ll call voters who may not vote this year unless they hear from us about Angie Nixon for U.S. Senate, David Jolly for Governor, and all the Democrats on their ballots. Join volunteers from across the state to make calls from home using our Scale to Win dialer and help us reach the voters we need to win on Election Day. You can call with a smartphone, laptop, tablet, or computer. Your personal phone number stays hidden, and calls come from a Florida Democratic Party number. You’ll only be connected to voters who answer, so you won’t spend the night listening to the phone ring. Want to make it a night with friends? Invite a few people over to call together. Let's help get them to the finish line. 1000 Postcards need to be written to at-risk apartment dwellers to tell them where to vote! Please bring something to drink (non-alcoholic). Join the Florida Democratic Party in making calls for our candidates: Richard Lamondin, Senate District 38 Gloria Romero Roses, House District 113 This event is completely virtual, all you need is a computer and/or a phone! We’ll use the Scale to Win dialer during this phonebank. The dialer hides your phone number and only connects you when a voter answers. No experience is necessary, and training will be provided before we begin making calls.

The South Dade Democratic Black Caucus, in co-sponsorship with Coral Gables Dems and West Miami Dems, invites all friends to attend a forum featuring state and local candidates. West Miami Dems will be canvassing in and around The Purple Church immediately before the event, assisting three of our favorite local heroes running for the blue roses on November 3rd:  Marco Reyes - State House 115, Richard Lamondin - State Sen. 36, and Eliott Rodrigues - U.S. House 27.  Our chance of gaining one voter increases every time we knock on a door and leave literature!  Check out our event page to sign up for the canvass! 

Sign up today to volunteer as an outside poll worker during Early Voting, October 19-November 1. Multiple sites from Aventura Branch Library to Historic Garage to Homestead Community Center. Greet incoming voters; distribute DEC slate cards and candidate literature; answer questions; coordinate with the voter protection team; thank voters on their way out. Training provided. Tonight, with Early Voting underway, and just 13 days until Election Day on Nov. 3, we are at the moment of truth! It is time to meet, strategize, and raise a toast to the Democratic Party!  Please bring every friend and relative you can muster! Let's make these last few remaining days COUNT!  Elections have no "do-overs".

We need every possible supporter to vote this year, and some may find it difficult to get to the polls. Help out by providing a ride. Sign up for one or more of our Election Day shifts!

Our presence at polling locations on Election Day will be crucial this year. We'll be greeting voters, handing them our official slate card, guiding them to polling site entrances, and thanking them as they leave. Equally important, we'll be connecting with the voter protection team to alert them to the presence of fake slate cards or potential voter intimidation activities. Two-hour shifts run from 6 am through 8 pm. Sign up for one or more shifts, and we'll place you at a site convenient to you!
