Florida’s vote-by-mail rules have changed—and many Miami-Dade County Democrats are no longer signed up to get a mail ballot in 2026. Let's contact Miami-Dade Democrats who were enrolled in Vote by Mail in 2024 but who have not yet re-enrolled for the 2026 election cycle! Many voters are shocked to learn that VBM requests expired at the end of 2024, and are grateful for our instructions about how to re-enroll. This is a proven method of increasing Democratic success by linking those inclined to choose our candidates to a voting method whose effectiveness was verified just weeks ago. Thanks to VBM voters, Democrats trounced Republicans in primary election turnout.

Bring the family. Bring a folding chair. Bring your appetite. This Labor Day weekend (Sunday 9/6/26), the Miami-Dade Democratic Party is throwing a cookout — and we're doing it with American beef, from American ranchers. Here's why that matters. The American cattle herd is the smallest it has been in modern history. Ranching families who have worked the same land for generations are being told to compete with a flood of cheap imported beef they had no say in. That isn't a free market. That's a squeeze — and the people getting squeezed are the ones actually doing the work. This isn't a partisan fight, either. Ranchers, cattlemen's associations, and members of Congress from both parties have all said the same thing: you don't put America first by putting American producers last. We agree. On the weekend we set aside to honor working people, we're putting our money where our mouth is. What we're providing: American beef burgers, hot off the grill. What we're asking: This is a community potluck. Bring a side, a dessert, a case of water — whatever you can. When you RSVP, just check the box and we'll email you the sign-up sheet so we don't end up with forty bowls of potato salad and no buns. Vegetarian options will be on the grill too. Everyone eats. Want to do more? We need hands for setup (8–11 AM) and cleanup (2–4 PM). Check the volunteer box when you RSVP and we'll be in touch.

DEC members and campaign volunteers! It's crunch time, and our candidates need all the help they can get. Pick up a new skill that will help to engage voters, spur them to cast a ballot, and persuade them to support your candidate(s) of choice! You will learn how to set up and run a phone bank, whether on-demand or using an autodialer. Let's broaden our talent pool, and lay the groundwork not only for victory in 2026, but for important municipal elections next year, and the all-important races in 2028. Join us!

West Miami Dems will meet in dedicated space at the S. Miami Elks Lodge. This private space lends itself to canvas packet preparation, postcard and text-banking efforts. Expect a few cameos from local candidates. Please bring friends. Money does not win elections. Voters do! Every day matters. Help us win BIG!
