This Labor Day weekend (Sunday 9/6/26), the Miami-Dade Democratic Party is throwing a cookout — and we're doing it with American beef, from American ranchers.

Here's why that matters. The American cattle herd is the smallest it has been in modern history. Ranching families who have worked the same land for generations are being told to compete with a flood of cheap imported beef they had no say in. That isn't a free market. That's a squeeze — and the people getting squeezed are the ones actually doing the work.

This isn't a partisan fight, either. Ranchers, cattlemen's associations, and members of Congress from both parties have all said the same thing: you don't put America first by putting American producers last. We agree. On the weekend we set aside to honor working people, we're putting our money where our mouth is.

What we're providing: American beef burgers, hot off the grill.

What we're asking: This is a community potluck. Bring a side, a dessert, a case of water — whatever you can. When you RSVP, just check the box and we'll email you the sign-up sheet so we don't end up with forty bowls of potato salad and no buns.

Vegetarian options will be on the grill too. Everyone eats.
